Arsenal made some smart additions to their team in the summer transfer window, with the likes of Dani Ceballos and Nicolas Pepe signing for the Gunners. The North London team have a good side this season around, although it seems that they are still some distance away from Manchester City and Liverpool.
There are a few players that could be holding the Gunners back, which the fans have noticed and want them out of their club soon. Let’s take a look at 3 Arsenal players most Gooners would love to see the back of:
#1 Granit Xhaka
Granit Xhaka has had a lot of criticism following the North London derby, a game where he conceded a needless penalty, which gave Tottenham the advantage. The 26-year-old midfielder made 7 fouls in the game, which is the most by any player this season.
Xhaka has been criticised for his rash tackles, and mindless fouls committed, which have cost the Gunners on more than one occasion. Several fans have taken to social media to demand manager Unai Emery to drop the midfielder for Dani Ceballos or Lucas Torreira, who seem to offer more in midfield than the Swiss player.
So, after a pulsating NLD, what can we say as gospel…
* Guendouzi was sensational
* Xhaka IS a liability
* We gifted them both goals
* Pepe NEEDS a goal
* NEVER write off the Arsenal!Oh and Kane is a diving little shit but then we knew that already…

Xhaka does my head in. But if Emery is gonna persist with him, at some point the fault is with the manager for having a blind spot. Supposedly keeps his place for experience & leadership but consistently makes more errors than any of the midfielders. It’s Guen’s midfield now

#2 Shkodran Mustafi
German defender Shkodran Mustafi is another player who has incurred the wrath of Arsenal fans for his lackadaisical defending and constant errors. Like Xhaka, Mustafi has made costly errors that have resulted in Arsenal letting in goals, and it seems that the 27-year-old hasn’t ironed out those errors from his game.
The centre-back, who joined from Valencia in 2016, is yet to play this season as new signing David Luiz, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, and Calum Chambers have started at the back for the Gunners so far this season. It seems like he may not be an option for Emery and will be resigned to a place in the squad if they are not able to sell him.
It’s your lucky day, @ASRomaEN! Because it’s deadline day across Europe, Arsenal have decided to sell players with a ‘buy one get one free’ policy. Seeing as Elneny left for Turkey, Mustafi is the only player who fits the bill. Get in contact to avail of the limited offer. https://t.co/mtQcuR5SE8

Take away Mustafi’s errors and he is, statistically our best defender. Same happens with Xhaka but unfortunately we can’t take the errors away. That’s why both should leave and be upgraded on. You can’t excuse their weaknesses with their strengths. We can’t be complacent.

#3 Mesut Ozil
Mesut Ozil is a polarising figure to most Arsenal fans, but even his biggest supporters seem to now think that his time is up at the Emirates and he has to leave the club. The German attacking midfielder has struggled with fitness issues, while off the field problems recently haven’t helped him either.
Ozil seems to have fallen way down the pecking order after the signings of Nicolas Pepe and Dani Ceballos, the former a right-sided winger and the latter who can play as a central midfielder or attacking midfielder. Ozil is the highest-paid player at Arsenal, but it seems that Emery will play only those players that fit in his system as well as those that can do more than one thing in his team.
Arsenal fans are unhappy at the Ozil situation as they could use the huge wages that he earns to buy players for other areas on the pitch which desperately need strengthening.
If the manager doesn’t want Ozil, and doesn’t feel he’s commited enough then we need to have sent him on loan and at least saved somewhat of his salary. Lack of faith is evident. Which is a shame as the front 3 could use his creativity.
