Konstantinos Tsimikas arrived from Olympiacos to provide competition to Andy Robertson at left-back. Diogo Jota’s arrival has strengthened the attack, while Thiago’s arrival from Bayern Munich will add more quality and control in midfield.

The Reds have sold Dejan Lovren to Zenit, while Adam Lallana completed a free transfer to Brighton and Hove Albion. Andy Lonergan, signed as a backup last season, has been released alongside Nathaniel Clyne.

Promising attacker Rhian Brewster also left the club for Sheffield United late in the transfer window.
