After a pretty crazy game against Blackburn Rovers in midweek, Leeds United will hope to keep their winning run going when they take on Hull City at Elland Road on Saturday.
The Whites have won their last seven games in a row and have opened up a three-point lead at the top of the Championship table as confidence is pretty high.
Despite suffering injuries, setbacks in games, like the one against Blackburn, Leeds just never seem to believe that are out of a game and that has been a huge change from last season.
Leeds’ upcoming opponents Hull City are not in a bad run of form either. After a pretty woeful start to the season, the Tigers have managed to remain unbeaten in their last six games in the Championship and have subsequently climbed up to 15th in the league table, the highest they have been all season.
Leeds will be fairly confident of getting another win, however.
Predicted Leeds United Lineup vs Hull City
Defence
Luke Ayling started for the Whites against Blackburn, but we could see Jamie Shackleton feature in the right-back role as Ayling has returned from an injury and needs to be given more time to recover.
The rest of the defence is unlikely to change as Kalvin Phillips might partner Pontus Jansson at the heart of the defence, while Barry Douglas could start in the left-back role. Bailey Peacock-Farrell should keep his place in between the sticks.
Midfield
Bielsa has gone with a 4-1-4-1 setup more often than not, but if he does give Jack Clarke his much-awaited start, we might see more protection in the deeper midfield role.
It remains to be seen if Klich will be asked to play within himself. Adam Forshaw is likely to keep his place in the deeper midfield role, though.
Pablo Hernandez will start in the attacking role as he interlinks the passing really well and knows how to breach a defence with one pass. Clarke and Alioski could start on the wings.
Attack
Kemar Roofe scored twice in injury time to send the Leeds fans into a frenzy last time, and should keep his place up top.
Roofe
Clarke – Hernandez – Klich – Alioski
Forshaw
Douglas – Jansson – Phillips – Shackleton
Peacock-Farrell
