As per one of the latest reports by Bristol Live, Leeds United are interested to sign Wigan Athletic playmaker Nick Powell. Apart from the Whites, the likes of Celtic, West Bromwich Albion, Middlesbrough and Stoke City are also believed to be keen to make him sign on the dotted line.
If Leeds United actually make a move to lure Powell to the Elland Road, it has to be initially on loan with a view to make the signing permanent. The 24-year-old is in the final year of his contract with the Latics and no wonder why so many clubs are vouching him closely.
Powell was on the books of Manchester United for four years before moving to the DW Stadium on a free transfer in the summer of 2016. Due to competition for places in the ranks of the Red Devils, he never really got enough chances to showcase his talents.
However, he helped his current employers last season in getting promoted to the Championship from League One as he scored 15 goals in 45 appearances. Besides, he has made an impactful start in the second tier, with 3 goals and 3 assists to his name already in 5 league outings.
