Tottenham Hotspur Linked With On-loan Chelsea Sensation: Ideal Move For All Involved?

Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as the latest club to reveal their interest in Chelsea loanee Kenedy, amidst interest from rivals Arsenal. According to Northern Echo, the London giants are keeping a close eye on the Brazilian sensation, as they look to strengthen their side next season.

Kenedy, who has emerged as a key player, since moving on loan to Newcastle United, has attracted a lot of interest, thanks to his impressive performances of late. The former Watford player has played a critical role in Newcastle’s rise in the second half of the season, which has elevated the Magpies from relegation scrap to a comfortable mid-table position.

Normally being used in midfield by Rafa Benitez, the 22-year-old has found resounding success at St. James’ Park. His presence out wide has solidified Newcastle’s wing-play, especially with Matt Ritchie playing on the other side of the wing. Kenedy has already notched up two goals and two assists in nine matches, during his time with the Magpies, helping his side win five of their last seven games in the Premier League.

Therefore, a move for this highly talented Brazilian midfielder could be a boon for Tottenham Hotspur, who would be desperate to strengthen their side, especially with the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli being on the end of some huge transfer speculation this summer.

Even though Spurs have recently secured the signing of former PSG starlet Lucas Moura, the Brazilian international doesn’t have much experience of playing in the English Premier League. In fact, the 25-year-old has featured in only 48 minutes of Premier League action, since joining the club earlier this year. Furthermore, Tottenham’s star winger Erik Lamela has also struggled a lot due to injuries.

The Argentinian is also linked with a move out of Tottenham in the upcoming summer transfer window, meaning the acquisition of a new midfielder/winger could be imperative for the North-London giants.

Kenedy could be an ideal signing for Tottenham Hotspur, considering his style of play, which is perfectly suited to the tactical philosophy of Mauricio Pochettino. The 22-year-old can provide some much-needed flair and dynamism in the final third, whilst also being quite impressive in the defensive phases. His recent performances for Newcastle United have already shown exactly what he is capable of.

Therefore, the Lilywhites should definitely make a move for this highly talented midfield, who can prove to be a fantastic asset for the club in the coming years.
