The Big Story-
It does not happen often that Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool want the same player, in the same transfer window and that too, with the same level of desperation that they are now showing to bring Julian Draxler to England. After the attempts to sign many of the other targets that the Gunners had having not worked out so far, it seems manager Arsene Wenger will now look to bring the German international to the Emirates before the transfer window closes.
This could be a sign of the North London outfit’s attempts to win more titles in the days to come, as they look to take him away from Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Not just them, it is the Red Devils and the Merseyside outfit, who are trying to sign the 23-year-old winger, who was made available after the arrival of Neymar at the Parc des Princes, from former La Liga champs Barcelona.
He is still quite young and the report further adds that the North London outfit will make another try to add him to their current squad.
Player’s Key Stats-
The attack minded star is highly experienced and left Bundesliga outfit VfL Wolfsburg, this year itself, after making a total of 34 appearances for them, scoring 5 times between 2015-2017. He has so far made 17 appearances for PSG, scoring 4 times already.
Since joining the French side, he has made a total of 23 appearances now. This has been a combination of games at the club and country level, though he has played more matches for the national team. He has managed to score 7 goals and has claimed a single assist in those games.
The success rate of his passing is around 81.5%, which he would still want to improve for big-match situations. Draxler prefers to play on the left-hand side mostly and that he is exactly what he has done so far, with the Ligue 1 club.
Apart from his defensive contribution and his tackling, he is surely an asset for any side, especially ones which are trying to win some major titles.
Deal Or No Deal?
Arsenal should try to get it done, as soon as possible. The reason for that is the fact that PSG are keen to sell and are already listening to offers. If the interest from the English trio is quite serious, as it seems, then it safe to get the deal done and dusted, before some other rival rushes in and gets a move completed.
