Liverpool are desperate to sign Lyon striker, Alexandre Lacazette. Liverpool boss, Jürgen Klopp, is ready to swoop for the 26-year old French International as they haven’t had a fit and firing striker for quite a while now even though Roberto Firmino has done a smashing job when given the chance.
Lacazette has been a standout performer in France and is seeking a move away from Lyon.
The Frenchman was close to a move to Atletico Madrid this summer, but, after Los Rojiblancos’ transfer ban was upheld, they won’t be able to sign him, at least permanently.

The Lyon striker is one of the most exciting players in world football. He is a player with no significant weaknesses, even though many might feel he is on the shorter side. Lacazette is a player with immense pace who can beat defenders at will.
In addition, he is one of the best finishers in the world. He has that killer instinct in front of the goal which he proves through the number of goals he has managed. Even though Firmino did quite well for the Reds, they will need an out and out striker who can guarantee them at least 25 to 30 goals in all competitions.
Champions League football means Liverpool attract quality players and there’s no reason why they shouldn’t make Lacazette their prime target. His ability and style match the Liverpool way.
Worth the money?
Lacazette is believed to cost in the region of £50 million according to the reports. At that price, he may be a slightly expensive buy for Liverpool who are in search of a high-profile goal scorer.
Having said that, the Reds haven’t spent a whole lot of money on a striker of late. Besides, it’s about time a flop player’s name, in Andy Carroll, no longer remains as the most expensive player in the club’s history.
