As per one of the latest reports by Mirror, Arsenal are interested to sign Lille winger Nicolas Pepe. Apart from the north London based outfit, Lyon, Sevilla and Real Betis are also believed to be monitoring Pepe very closely ahead of a potential move in January.
The 23-year-old was signed by Lille from Angers last summer and he carved a marvellous season for himself in his debut campaign with Les Dogues. In 36 Ligue 1 appearances, he plundered 13 goals and also registered assists. He earned rave reviews from the football fraternity owing to his dazzling performances.
Besides, Pepe has started the ongoing campaign in an impressive as he has scored 1 goal and bagged 3 assists in French top-flight. There is no denying that he is one of the hottest properties in the game at the moment and therefore, Unai Emery’s apparent interest to sign him makes complete sense
He also has 8 caps for Ivory Coast and does have a bright future ahead of him. Reportedly, Arsenal’s fellow Premier League side Southampton made a bid of £12.5m during the summer transfer window, but was rejected by Christophe Galtier’s camp.
