West Ham United were hammered by Liverpool last weekend but will have the chance to bounce back when they host Bournemouth this Saturday.
The Cherries, however, will be full of confidence after managing a 2:0 victory over newly-promoted Cardiff City which could further spice up the contest between the two sides this weekend.
West Ham United – Team News
West Ham have a plethora of injuries to deal with at the moment, with the likes of Andy Carroll, Manuel Lanzini, and Winston Reid sidelined.
Marko Arnautovic also picked up a knock against Liverpool and could miss out this weekend.
Deadline day signing Carlos Sanchez is also doubtful as he’s had very little time to train with the first team.
Probable West Ham United lineup
Lukasz Fabianski will retain his place in between the sticks for West Ham this weekend. The Polish international made four saves against Liverpool but could expect a relatively quieter day at the office against the Cherries.
Pellegrini is likely to make some drastic changes to the defence that conceded four goals against Liverpool. New signing Issa Diop could be handed his Premier League debut, replacing Fabian Balbuena. Diop is expected to partner Angelo Ogbonna in central defence.
Aaron Cresswell could return to the side after missing out last weekend. The 28-year-old will replace Arthur Masuaku on the left. Pellegrini might opt to play the experienced Pablo Zabaleta on the opposite flank instead of Ryan Fredericks. Fredericks had a tackle success rate of just 33% last weekend.
We might also see a change in midfield with Declan Rice being dropped for Pedro Obiang. Rice was arguably the worst West Ham player during their defeat to Liverpool.
Obiang will partner Mark Noble in centre-midfield with Jack Wilshere playing as the number ten. All eyes will be on the former Arsenal superstar who failed to impress on his Premier League debut against Liverpool last weekend.
West Ham’s attack will be led by Javier Hernandez, who will come into the side in place of Marko Arnautovic, who is doubtful. ‘Chicharito’ will be partnered by the wide-duo of Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko. The latter made an appearance off the bench against Liverpool but could start in the inverted wing role on the right.
