Rashford, Martial & Antony In Attack: 4-2-3-1 Man United Predicted XI vs Everton

Manchester United will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday when they visit Goodison Park to face Everton.

The Red Devils’ four-game winning run in the league came to an end last weekend away to their city rivals Manchester City, who won the Manchester derby 6-3.

They did beat Omonia Nicosia 3-2 away from home in the Europa League on Thursday evening, but Erik ten Hag was less than convinced with the performance. So, the Dutchman will be hoping for a big reaction from his players when they take on Frank Lampard’s side.

Manchester United Team News

Manchester United will travel to Everton with Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Donny Van de Beek out due to injury. Maguire sustained an injury during international duty with England and is expected to be out for the next couple of games. Van de Beek is getting closer to a comeback after not featuring for the Red Devils since coming on as a substitute against Liverpool in August.

Erik ten Hag is hopeful that Raphael Varane will recover from an ankle injury in time to play against the Toffees. Varane missed the trip to Omonia Nicosia after he sustained a sprained ankle in the Manchester derby but has a chance of being fit for Sunday’s encounter.

Predicted Man United Lineup vs Everton (4-2-3-1)

Goalkeeper

David de Gea should be raring to put things right and keep a clean sheet at Goodison Park after conceding six goals against Man City.

Defence

Lining up in a 4-2-3-1 system, Ten Hag should be demanding defensive solidity from his players after the horror show at Man City last weekend. As Raphael Varane is touch and go, Victor Lindelof is expected to deputise for the Frenchman in the Man United lineup.

football formations

The pair of Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez will try to stop Everton from making inroads. Diogo Dalot has cemented his place at right-back in the Man United lineup while Tyrell Malacia could make way for Luke Shaw at left-back after being hooked off at half-time against Omonia.

Midfield

Christian Eriksen is a guaranteed starter in central midfield. With Scott McTominay holding the midfield, Eriksen will look to initiate attacks from deep and combine well with Bruno Fernandes. The Dane’s link-up with Fernandes could prove vital in unlocking the hosts’ door.

This means Fred and Casemiro have to be content with roles on the bench again and try to make an impact when called upon by Ten Hag.

Attack

A brace from Marcus Rashford after coming off the bench against Omonia should see him displace Jadon Sancho from the Man United lineup. Anthony Martial also scored after coming on as a substitute against the Cypriot side, which was preceded by his brace in the Manchester derby. The Frenchman is fully fit now and could be handed a start ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo up top.

Antony, meanwhile, should retain his spot on the right flank in the Man United lineup and will be desperate to become the first Man United player to score in his first three Premier League appearances.
