Bayern Munich will look to consolidate their lead at the top of the Bundesliga when they host RB Leipzig on Saturday.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side bounced back from their shock 2-1 defeat against Borussia Monchengladbach with commanding victories against FC Koln and Hertha Berlin.
They are currently six points clear of second-placed Borussia Dortmund.
Leipzig, meanwhile, have recovered from a mediocre start to the season. They have a perfect record in 2022, winning three league games and their DFB Pokal clash against Hansa Rostock. Despite their uptick in form, they are sixth in the table, three points off a Champions League spot.
The last time these two sides met, Bayern cruised to a 4-1 victory.
Bayern Munich Team News
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Bouna Sarr are away on international duty, while Alphonso Davies and Leon Goretzka are expected to miss out due to fitness problems.
Manuel Neuer did not train with the rest of the team on Tuesday, but did complete a fitness session at the performance centre and is likely to feature.
Predicted Bayern Munich Lineup vs RB Leipzig (3-4-2-1)
Goalkeeper
If fit, Neuer will start in goal for Bayern Munich. The Germany international has won 309 of his 457 Bundesliga games and a win on Saturday would move him level with Oliver Kahn’s record of 310.
Defenders
Nagelsmann switched to a back-three against Hertha Berlin and the move paid off as Bayern cruised to a 4-1 win. He is likely to stick with the same system against Leipzig.
Dayot Upamecano has recovered from injury and is pushing to make the Bayern Munich lineup. He could replace Benjamin Pavard in the Bayern backline and partner Lucas Hernandez and Niklas Sule.
Midfielders
With Goretzka unavailable, Joshua Kimmich and Corentin Tolisso could slot into central midfield. Marcel Sabitzer has been used as a left wing-back quite often this season but might just have to settle for a spot on the bench.
Serge Gnabry is expected to start on the right flank with Kingsley Coman on the left in the Bayern Munich lineup.
Attackers
Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for Bayern Munich. The Pole is in red-hot form, having scored 34 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions this season.
Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane will support Lewandowski in attack. Muller has scored six goals and provided 16 assists in the Bundesliga this season, his best-ever record at this stage of a league campaign.
Sane has blown hot and cold, but has netted twice in his last three games.
