Ajax Star ‘Awaits’ Premier League Offer: Arsenal & Everton Among Potential Destinations| Opinion

Clubs in the Premier League have always kept their doors open for talents from across Europe and this summer might be no different. The biggest clubs in the country remain in the transfer market in search of players that can improve them next season and one such player who could be up for sale is Ajax star, Donny van de Beek.

Sky Sports News claims that Van de Beek, currently happy at Ajax, could be available for a move at the right price this summer. A number of clubs across Europe are already showing an interest in the 23-year-old but here are three clubs that should make a move for him this summer.

3 potential destinations in the Premier League for Donny van de Beek

Everton

The Toffees have previously been linked with a move for the Ajax star but have failed to strike a deal with the Dutch outfit till now. But with the pull of Carlo Ancelotti on their side, they may be able to land Van De Beek this summer, if there is any lingering interest.

Everton have the likes of Tom Davies, Morgan Schneiderlin and Andre Gomes for the central midfield roles. But Gylfi Sigurdsson remains the only creative option in the midfield, making Donny van de Beek a potentially huge asset for Everton. He could be a tad expensive but fills a glaring hole in the first team and could be a real match-winner for the club, who will be targeting a much better finish next season.

Manchester City

After missing out on the league title recently, Pep Guardiola is expected to spend big this summer and Van de Beek could be a potential option. With David Silva no longer at the club, City have Bernardo Silva, Kevin de Bruyne and Phil Foden as the only options for the creative midfield roles. David Silva needs to be replaced and Van de Beek could be a decent option for the club if they are looking for new options.

The Ajax star is technically gifted, can control the tempo of the game in the middle of the park and under Guardiola, could turn into one of the most complete midfielders in the game.

Arsenal

The Gunners have decent options for their midfield roles but lack of creativity from the middle of the park was crucial in their demise last season. Mesut Ozil no longer seems to be a trusted option for Mikel Arteta who could also see Dani Ceballos return to Real Madrid.

Joe Willock may have a future in this role but Van de Beek could solve this problem for years to come. With a game style that suits Arteta’s system at Emirates, the 23-year-old can not only make Arsenal a more balanced side but can turn into one of the best players in his role in England.
