Tottenham Hotspur considering a move for La Liga attacker: Just what Jose needs

Jose Mourinho could make his first signing at Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window as the north London club have been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Lemar. The Spurs manager will want to bring in some players to freshen things up, especially after the injury to Harry Kane.

As per The Independent, Lemar could be available on loan in January, with an option to buy him for €60 million at the end of the loan spell. The report further states that Atletico will demand a fee of €6 million to take the Frenchman on loan. North London rivals Arsenal are also reportedly interested in signing the 24-year-old.

Thomas Lemar hasn’t been in good form this season which has led to speculations that manager Diego Simeone is looking to loan him out or sell him in January. He has scored just 4 times in 64 appearances since moving to the club from AS Monaco for £52.7 million in 2018. Lemar’s contract with Atleti expires in 2023.

Thomas Lemar: Good option for Jose?

Jose Mourinho will have a gaping hole in his Spurs side over the coming weeks as his talisman, Harry Kane is set to spend some time on the sidelines due to an injury. This means that Mourinho will have to move Son Heung-min or Lucas Moura to the centre from the wide areas.

The north London club don’t have too many options on the left apart from Son, with inexperienced teenager Ryan Sessegnon the other option, while the likes of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura, and Erik Lamela can fill that position but not on a daily basis.

Given their current predicament and lack of attacking tooth, Spurs will not want more positions to be filled by makeshift options as they approach a crucial run-in. The French World Cup-winning winger is a player who can dribble past opponents, while also threading inch-perfect passes and crosses.

Thomas Lemar is a player who has a strong left foot and can put teasing balls into the box. He could be a good fit for Spurs as he can play on the left as well as a midfielder or No. 10. A loan move means that Spurs and Mourinho can have a close look at him to see if he can adapt to the English game, while also offering an option out wide, in turn strengthening the squad and bringing a fresh attacking outlet, something this squad is in dire need of.

This includes nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, cheap viagra, as the magazine put it, given that Pfizer scientists discovered the drug.
