100% Record At Stake: 4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup vs Manchester United

Jose Mourinho has made an impressive return to the Premier League, winning his first three games with Tottenham Hotspur. His side beat Bournemouth and West Ham with 3-2 scorelines in the last couple of games in the league but the manager’s biggest test will arrive this week, when Spurs travel to Old Trafford to take on Mourinho’s former side, away from home. Jose will be desperate to keep his 100% record intact as long as he can and will especially loathe losing it at Old Trafford.

Manchester United’s form in the league has been anything but impressive, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have picked up just a couple of points from their last two games against newly-promoted sides and are currently in 10th place.

They were held to a 2-2 draw by Villa at home, at the weekend and will look to put in a positive display before the Manchester derby on Saturday. But Mourinho’s men are slightly more settled and will believe that they can take all three points from this game and make a real statement.

Team News

Michel Vorm and Hugo Lloris remain sidelined with calf and elbow injuries. Erik Lamela is still struggling with his hamstring while Ben Davies’ ankle injury keeps him out of the game.

They remain the only players that will miss this game for the visitors.

PREDICTED TOTTENHAM LINEUP vs MANCHESTER UNITED (4-2-3-1)

Defence

Lack of options should see Paulo Gazzaniga keep his place under the bar. But he could be tested by the likes of Marcus Rashford and Daniel James, both of who are finding some form.

But the centre-back pairing of Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez, which Mourinho has preferred this season, will not be easy to bypass for the hosts who will be missing Anthony Martial.

Davies’ absence has seen Mourinho stick Jan Vertonghen at left-back in the Tottenham lineup. The Belgian could keep his place in the side to add some stability to the backline while Serge Aurier seems to be an automatic choice at right-back.

Midfield

Mourinho has stuck with a two-man midfield in all his three games in charge of Spurs so far. Eric Dier remains a regular in this midfield and could retain his place while Tanguy NDombele showed enough promise against The Cherries to also hold his place in the side.

Harry Winks is an alternative if Mourinho looks to take a slightly more cautious approach.

Attack

Moussa Sissoko got himself on the score sheet at the weekend and could start on the right-wing in the Tottenham lineup. He will have to add some defensive depth on the right with his industry and positioning.

Heung Min-Son adds pace and creativity on the left flank while Dele Alli will retain his place in the no.10 role.

Harry Kane drew a blank in the last game but will be up for it against the likes of Victor Lindelof, who could find him too hot to handle on the night.
