Chelsea & Bournemouth Stars Feature In The Top 3 Attackers Of Matchweek 11

It was yet another eventful week in the Premier League, as both Liverpool and Manchester City came back from losing positions to mount a late challenge and win. Chelsea and Leicester City won as well, and are hot on the heels of Manchester City, while Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur had disappointing results.

A total of 26 goals were scored in the league this weekend, which included an exciting 3-2 win for Newcastle United against West Ham United, and Sheffield United’s comfortable 3-0 win against Burnley.

Let’s take a look at the top 3 attackers from gameweek 11 of the Premier League

Tammy Abraham

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham continued his brilliant start to the Premier League season as he scored his ninth league goal of the season against Watford. He then turned provider as he set up Christian Pulisic, who scored Chelsea’s second goal of the night.

The English striker could have scored another goal in the first half, a shot which was smartly saved by Watford keeper Ben Foster. Abraham now has 10 goals and 3 assists in all competitions this season in 16 games. He has fast become one of Chelsea’s most important players and has become impossible to drop for manager Frank Lampard.

Sadio Mane

At one stage this past weekend, Liverpool looked like they were down and out, and were on the verge of losing their first game of the season against Aston Villa at Villa Park. But the league leaders staged a late comeback, thanks to an 87th-minute goal from Andy Robertson and a 94th-minute winner by Sadio Mane.

The Senegalese attacker was a handful throughout the game and was instrumental in Liverpool’s comeback win, setting up Robertson’s goal and then scoring the winner. He also put in a beautiful cross that Firmino bundled into the net, but the Brazilian’s armpit was deemed offside by the smallest of margins. It was a performance that not only won Liverpool the match but possibly put them a step closer to the Premier League title.

Joshua King

Joshua King scored the only goal in the game between Bournemouth and Manchester United, scoring against his former club for the third time. King was a part of the Manchester United youth system and part of the reserves that was managed by current Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegian striker troubled the Manchester United defence and took his goal very well thus piling on the misery for his former employers. He looked lively throughout the game and was a huge threat for the United backline on the counter as well.
