Austin and Diangana to Start: 4-2-3-1 Predicted West Brom Lineup vs Luton Town

After being knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Millwall on Tuesday, West Bromwich Albion will turn their attention to the Championship, where they are due to face Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Saturday.

The Baggies won their opening Championship fixture against Nottingham Forest, but a draw against Millwall in the league last Saturday, followed by a 2-1 defeat in the League Cup against the Lions have dampened the spirits a bit.

Luton will enter the game with a lot of confidence after their 3-1 win against Ipswich Town in the cup fixture earlier this week, and the Baggies cannot afford to be complacent against the Championship newcomers.

Central defender Ahmed Hegazy is the only player who is out injured for West Brom.

Predicted West Brom Lineup vs Luton Town (4-2-3-1)

Defence

Jonathan Bond started between the sticks against Millwall in the League Cup. However, we expect Sam Johnstone to return in goal against Luton Town.

Semi Ajayi and Kyle Bartley could start in the central defence. Ajayi has had a good start to life at the club so far, and has been resilient at the back. The fans will hope that his partnership with Bartley will only get better with time.

Nathan Ferguson should feature at right-back. The young defender has been impressive so far, and has managed the most number of tackles for the club this season.

Meanwhile, former Arsenal full-back Kieran Gibbs is likely to get the nod to start at left-back to complete a four-man backline.

Midfield

Jake Livermore will feature as the deeper midfielder, and will attempt to break opposition moves. Romaine Sawyers, meanwhile, will look to drive forward and play a role in the build-up as well

Filip Krovinovic has added more flair to Albion’s attacking setup. The Croatian could be one of the first names to find a place in Bilic’s starting lineup.

Attack

Charlie Austin netted his first goal for Albion on Tuesday night. Austin is a proven goal scorer in the Championship, and is likely to get the nod to start up top instead of Kenneth Zohore.

Matt Phillips and Grady Diangana should start on the wings. Phillips has already opened his scoring account for the season, and will look to have a go at the Luton defence come Saturday.
