Opinion: Aston Villa and Everton among 3 teams who should sign this Man United outcast

Manchester United have been a busy club this transfer window and they are not done yet. They will look to add some star names to the squad, but will also have to let go a few of their squad players.

One such player, who is now considering leaving the club is Marcos Rojo, claim ESPN.

Currently a part of the squad that has travelled to Oslo for a friendly, the Argentinean has played just 14 league games for the club in the last two seasons. And United’s recruitment could push his further down the pecking order.

So Rojo wants to leave the club and is already wanted in Spain and Italy, but here are three Premier League clubs, who could do with the experience of the 29-year old in their side next season:

Everton

The Toffees have let Phil Jagielka leave and are also without Kurt Zouma, who is back with Chelsea after his loan deal. Michael Keane and Yerry Mina are the only options at centre-back for Marco Silva at the moment.

So it is imperative that they spend on another defender this summer, and Rojo could do a decent job.

The Argentine will also provide cover for the left-back role, and with just a couple of years left on his contract, is an option available on the cheap.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Nuno Espirito Santo has one of the most impressive squads outside last season’s top 6 in the Premier League. But squad depth is also important for club playing in England and in Europe, and Rojo would provide the same.

Connor Coady, Willy Boly and Ryan Bennett are first choice centre-backs in the preferred 3-5-2 system at Molineux, while Jonny is the first choice left-back at the club.

Rojo will act as a backup for both positions, and his presence in the dressing room could also make a difference at the club.

Aston Villa

Dean Smith has done well to bring the Villains back to the Premier League, but he needs to work on adding some experienced players to his squad to help him compete with the best in the competition next season.

Aston Villa have Ezri Konsa, Tyrone Mings, Kortney House and Bjorn Engles for the centre-backs roles, but James Chester is the only experienced player for this role in the squad, and Rojo could be a good presence at the back for the club in the long term.

Matt Targett has just joined the club, and Rojo can also act as a backup to Neil Taylor at left-back making him a utility player for Villa and Smith.
