Barcelona sensation wants an exit: 3 potential destinations for him in La Liga

Denis Suarez will be returning to Barcelona with Arsenal showing no signs of making a permanent move for the Spaniard.

The 25-year-old made 6 appearances for the Gunners and made little to no impact during his time at the Emirates before seeing his season end with a pubis injury.

According to a report from the Goal, Denis Suarez has expressed his desire to leave the Camp Nou amidst severe lack of game-time. The Spanish midfielder who has two years left on his Blaugrana contract wishes to continue plying his trade in the La Liga after a couple of failed stints in the Premier League.

The Catalan club has slapped a price tag of €20m on the former Manchester City midfielder who has found it hard to break into the first team ever since his move from Villarreal 3 years ago.

Let’s take a look at the three possible destinations where the young right-footed midfielder could end up before the new season kicks-off in August.

Valencia

The Copa del Rey champions, Valencia, have been linked with the 25-year-old midfielder after Club’s General director Mateu Alemany highlighted that the Barcelona midfielder is on The Bats’ transfer plans for the summer.

With Marcelinho in the boss’ chair, the move seems likely to happen. Earlier, Suarez showered praise on the Valencia manager Marcelinho saying ‘he is the best coach he ever worked with and he regularly speaks with him’.

The pair also enjoyed a successful time at Suarez’s former club Villarreal and the reunion could pay dividends for the duo in the days to come.

Atletico Madrid

Los Rojiblancos are going through a rebuilding phase themselves with the club set to lose key players in Lucas Hernandez, Antoine Griezmann and Diego Godin.  The former Villarreal player sounds like an appealing choice for the Atleti dressing room seeing his price, ability, age and quality on the football pitch.

Atleti boss Diego Simeone has built a reputation of developing young prospects into world-class talent and it seems the Galician could very well become the next name on the Argentine’s list.

Celta Vigo

Celestes had a nightmare last term and escaped relegation by a mere 4 points in the recently concluded campaign. Fran Escriba who took the charge of the club in March will be looking to bolster his squad for the upcoming season.

Suarez could fit into the Spanish manager’s plans for next season seeing his versatility and flexible nature on the pitch. With Maxi Gomez and Iago Aspas in front of him, the 25-year-old  could be the missing piece in the puzzle for the Celticos in the final third.
