Crystal Palace have had a funny season. They are set to finish mid-table, with one of the most impressive away records of the season in the Premier League. The Eagles have taken 29 points from their away travels this season, while securing just 17 points at Selhurst Park, which is the second worst home record after bottom-placed Huddersfield Town.
Palace are in 12th with 46 points, while their opponents on Sunday, Bournemouth are in 13th, just one point shy of Palace in the league table. Roy Hodgson’s team could finish 11th – same as last year – if they win against the Cherries and West Ham United lose their match against Watford.
The South London club have had a strong end to their season, collecting 10 points from the last five games, including impressive away wins against Newcastle United, Arsenal and Cardiff City.
In the away leg, Palace had lost to a late goal from Junior Stanislas.
Let’s take a look at how Crystal Palace will line up for the final game of the 2018-19 Premier League season.
PREDICTED CRYSTAL PALACE LINEUP VS BOURNEMOUTH (4-4-2)
Goalkeeper
Spaniard Vicente Guaita will continue to be Hodgson’s choice between the sticks. The former Valencia goalkeeper could be substituted, if things go according to plan, to give club legend Julian Speroni, who has been with the club for 15 years, a fitting farewell.
Defence
Hodgson’s major concern in defence will be the fitness of central defender Scott Dann. Dann has a muscle strain, and with his other central defensive options, James Tomkins and Mamadou Sakho still injured, the former England manager could give 20-year-old Sam Woods his Premier League debut and play him with Martin Kelly in central defence.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will play at right-back. The Englishman has impressed all with his electric displays and one of Palace’s goals this summer will be retaining his services. After missing the last few games, Patrick van Aanholt may be recalled to the left-back slot.
Midfield
Captain Luka Milivojević and James McArthur may continue to play in midfield following their victory against Cardiff City last time around. We could maybe see Max Meyer recalled to the team and played on the left-hand side, while Andros Townsend will most likely start as a right-sided attacker.
Attack
Wilfried Zaha and Michy Batshuayi scored in their last game against Cardiff City and they could start as the two strikers against Bournemouth.
