4-3-3: Dann and Ward feature in predicted Crystal Palace Lineup vs Manchester United

Crystal Palace will look to continue their unbeaten run when they host Manchester United at Selhurst Park on Wednesday.

The Eagles are unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions and are coming on the back of a morale-boosting 4-1 win over Leicester City on the weekend.

Crystal Palace team news

Roy Hodgson will be without the services of key defenders Mamadou Sakho and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who are doubtful. Martin Kelly and Pape Souare are also injured along with goalkeeper Julian Speroni, who has picked up a minor injury.

Predicted Crystal Palace lineup vs Manchester United

Defence

Scott Dann came in for the injured Sakho in the game against Leicester City and the veteran defender might once again deputise for the former Liverpool defender this week. He will be partnered by James Tomkins at the heart of the Palace backline.

Joel Ward might feature in place of Wan-Bissaka if the latter isn’t able to make the Crystal Palace lineup.

Patrick van Aanholt, meanwhile, is a guaranteed starter in the left-back position while Vicente Guaita will continue to feature ahead of Wayne Hennessey in goal. The Spaniard has kept five clean sheets in just ten matches this season.

Midfield

Hodgson could opt for the same midfield setup he used in the win over Leicester, thus we expect both Jeffrey Schupp and James McArthur to retain their position in the starting lineup. Their work-ethic will be key against Paul Pogba and co.

But, the focus will definitely be on Luka Milivojevic, who will be deployed at the base of Palace’s 4-3-3. The Serbian international will be tasked with the responsibility of providing security to the backline while his excellent set-piece deliveries will be key as well.

Attack

Michy Batshuayi has been preferred over Christian Benteke of late, and the on-loan forward might once again spearhead the Palace attack. He scored in the win over Leicester, and his clever positioning will be key as the hosts look to breach the well-drilled United defence.

Batshuayi will be supported by the wide-duo of Andros Townsend and Wilfried Zaha, who will be keen to make an impression against his former side on Wednesday.
