Lukaku and Rashford Up Front: 4-4-2 Manchester United Predicted Lineup vs Wolves

Manchester United will face a tough task in a few hours when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium.

Wolves have defied all odds in their comeback year, and Nuno Espirito Santo has made optimum use of the bright resources at his disposal to mount an excellent Premier League and FA Cup campaign. In fact, United were knocked out in the quarterfinals by the same opponents and Ole will be out to exact revenge.

Wolves are currently 7th in the league and can be considered as the best of the rest outside the Top 6 which is dominated by the big guns. They are also due to face Watford on Sunday in the FA Cup semi-final with many touting them to reach the finals.

Manchester United will have to be even more guarded in their approach today, not only due to their opponents’ achievements overall but also due to their record against the Top 6 this season. They have won more points against the big six amongst the rest of the 14 teams (10).

Even though Nuno might have an eye on the cup semi-final, they will still be difficult to navigate in their backyard.

MANCHESTER UNITED TEAM NEWS

DEFENCE

David de Gea will start in goal and will look to keep a clean sheet.

Ashley Young might retain his place at right-back with Diogo Dalot having a torrid time against the same team a few weeks ago.

Victor Lindelof is likely to come in and should replace Phil Jones even though the Englishman had a solid game against Watford.

Luke Shaw will continue at left-back.

MIDFIELD

Ander Herrera did not have the best of games last time around but he is likely to continue in a midfield three alongside Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic with the Serbian sitting the deepest.

ATTACK

Jesse Lingard is expected to start. He could start at the tip of the diamond just behind the duo of Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku. Rashford found himself on the score sheet last time around and will be backed to replicate that here.
