Cardiff City Eyeing a Transfer for Wing-Wizard: Pace and Power Guaranteed

Cardiff City are eyeing a move for Everton winger Yannick Bolasie, it has been reported by the Mirror.

Bolasie cut short his loan spell with Championship outfit Aston Villa after exercising a clause that allowed him to return to Everton.

However, Silva has made it clear that the attacker has no future at the Goodison Park. Intriguingly, there is no shortage of admirers for Bolasie in English football.

Bolasie has apparently made it clear that he is keen to stay in the Premier League, which has alerted Burnley, Newcastle United and Cardiff City.

The Bluebirds would have to sign the DR Congo international permanently. Neil Warnock already has Harry Arter and Oumar Niasse on loan, with the latter on loan from Everton.

One of the rules laid down by the English top flight states that a club cannot register more than one player on loan from an English club at any a time.

How has Bolasie been this season?

The 29-year-old had a mixed season for Aston Villa. He was often used off the bench to bring more spark and energy in the attacking areas.

In 21 Championship appearances, Bolasie managed to muster two goals and register four assists. However, his pass completion rate of 72.3% wasn’t the best.

Bolasie – A combination of pace and power

Bolasie is a proven player in the Premier League, and would be a galvanising signing for Cardiff City if his move to the Cardiff City Stadium materialises this month.

Capable of plying his trade on either wing, Bolasie has good pace to burn and can stretch opposition defences. At his best, he is a hard player to stop as he does have a good physical side to him as well.

There was a time in the Premier League when Crystal Palace were heavily reliant on Bolasie to create openings, and the same pace and power would do Cardiff a world of good.

Warnock’s men are 18th in the Premier League table, having collected 19 points from 23 games so far this campaign. During the business end of the season, a lot of players wear out and someone like Bolasie, with all the experience he has under his belt, might be a useful player for Cardiff City.

Bolasie is fully fit now and with the calibre he has, he is unlikely to find it too hard to break into the starting lineup on a consistent basis.

Considering there are four wingers ahead of Bolasie in the pecking order at Everton, it seems like a no-brainer for him to make a switch in the coming days.
