As per one of the latest reports by Birmingham Live, Aston Villa are nearing a deal to sign Yannick Bolasie from Everton. Bolasie is believed to be in Birmingham and his move is expected to be finalized today.
The Villans can only sign players on loan until 5 pm of 31st August after the transfer window closed on 9th August. Middlesbrough reportedly had talks with the 29-year-old earlier this week but he is apparently keen to move to the Villa Park.
Bolasie is clearly not in the plans of Marco Silva at Everton and his potential move to Aston Villa would make a lot of sense. Owing to the availability of Theo Walcott and Richarlison, he has failed to get into the matchday squad of the Toffees for the first two games.
By taking a step downward, he should be able to put his career back on track once again. Meanwhile, Steve Bruce’s side would be boosted if his move to Aston Villa eventually materializes.
Gregg Evans of Birmingham Mail is also hopeful of the signing. He tweeted: “#avfc waiting to announce Bolasie and El-Ghazi. Both have agreed to sign. Two new wingers coming in, big boost for Villa.”
