According to The Sun, Wolves are eyeing a move for Huddersfield attacker Alex Pritchard in the upcoming January transfer window.
The former Norwich City star has impressed under David Wagner this season, attracting the interest of Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Portuguese is keen on shoring up his side’s creative department in January, but is Pritchard the solution?

Pritchard initially moved to Huddersfield at the start of this year in a £11 million deal from Norwich City. He played a key role at the back end of last season, which was crucial to Terrier’s survival in the English top flight.
The 25-year-old is an attacking midfielder, who is blessed with immense technical prowess. Crossing is undoubtedly his biggest asset as the former Tottenham youngster can provide a flurry of dangerous deliveries by moving out wide.
Additionally, Pritchard brings a lot of creativity to the table. Although a reading of 0.3 key passes per game might suggest otherwise, he is still one of Huddersfield’s most creative players nonetheless, providing support to the attackers with his excellent passing and movements in the final third.
The 25-year-old also has decent pace, which helps him drift past defenders in wider positions. He is a threat from long-range as well, having averaged over two shots on goal, one of which comes from outside the box.
Do Wolves really need Alex Pritchard?
Pritchard is undoubtedly an interesting choice for the Wolves as he has a lot to offer and can be groomed into a key player by Espirito Santo.
The fact that he likes to move into wider positions also makes him an ideal fit for Wolves’3-4-2-1 formation, where the two attacking midfielders often tend to operate from a wider role.
On the flip side, however, Pritchard’s defensive work-rate is low. Despite operating as an attacking midfielder, the 25-year-old hardly tracks back, which could be a huge problem under Nuno.
The Huddersfield attacker offers very little in terms of the end product which is evident in his scoring and assists tally. He also needs to improve on his finishing, having scored only two goals in 30 Premier League appearances.
But, as iterated earlier, Pritchard is certainly an interesting choice for Wolves, who should definitely take the gamble of signing the Huddersfield star given the fact that he could be available for as low as £15 million.
