Liverpool were knocked back by Arsenal during the summer transfer window after they enquired for Aaron Ramsey. However, that has not erased their interest to lure Ramsey to the Anfield as one of the latest reports by Mirror states that they are keeping close tabs on the midfielder.
Ramsey’s future at the Emirates Stadium suffered a blow after Arsenal manager Unai Emery brought a halt to the negotiations on the Welshman’s contract extension. Considering that his contract is due to expire at the end of the season, Liverpool’s interest to sign him makes a lot of sense.
The 27-year-old has been one of the most influential players for the north London outfit in the recent years and there is no denying that. He is unarguably a big name in the game and apart from the Reds, AC Milan and Juventus are also monitoring his situation at Arsenal very closely.
Reportedly, Ramsey is interested to work under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp and that might give Liverpool the edge in the race to sign him. If his move to the ranks of Klopp eventually materializes, he will once again team up with former Arsenal teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
