As per one of the latest reports by TEAMtalk, Arsenal have put Boca Juniors sensation Cristian Pavon on their radar. The report further states that the north London based outfit’s new Head of Football Raul Sanllehi has already commenced talks to strike a deal in order to lure Pavon to the Emirates Stadium.
Apart from Arsenal, Pavon has also been linked heavily with Barcelona in recent times. The Argentina international emerged through the youth ranks of Cordoba and after impressing for their senior side, he was made to sign on the dotted line by Boca Juniors in the summer of 2014.
Last term, the 22-year-old garnered a staggering season for his current employers as he managed to find the back of the net on 6 occasions and also bagged 11 assists in 26 league appearances. Apparently, he has a release clause of €50m on his collar but that has not diluted Arsenal’s interest.
Although Pavon lacks the experience of English or European football, he has the tools to excel at Unai Emery’s side. He has been frequently used on the right wing for Boca Juniors but is capable enough to ply his trade on the left flank as well. With his pace, work-ethic and dribbling skills, he could be a good addition for Arsenal.
