Top Attackers Of Matchweek 4: Man United and Chelsea Stars Feature

With less than three goals a game scored this weekend in the Premier League, it was not a Game Week for the strikers in the league. The likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool all struggled to get their wins while Tottenham Hotspur were beaten by Watford. Manchester United and Chelsea registered easy victories and had a few star players in their attack.

But there were other players who made a similar impact in front of goal from clubs around the country. In this piece, we try to take a look at the top three attackers from Game Week 4 of the Premier League:

Romelu Lukaku (Manchester United):

The Belgian international has finally found some form as he was on fire against a well drilled Burnley side. Lukaku opened the scoring in the 27th minute and added a second just before halftime as the Clarets were never given a chance to get back into the game. He also made four key passes and won three aerial duels, completing two dribbles, maintaining a passing accuracy of 83%, all of which were important for United to get back to winning ways after back to back losses.

Eden Hazard (Chelsea):

Another Belgian who really shone this weekend, Hazard, was the heartbeat of the Chelsea side in the game against Bournemouth. The 27-year old scored Chelsea second but his passing accuracy of 91% and the five key passes he made were just as crucial for the Blues to take all three points from this game. Hazard also completed five dribbles and was fouled four times and was just too hot to handle for the Cherries on the night. A case can be made for Hazard being the best player in the league for Game Week 4.

Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal):

The French striker was finally given a chance to start alongside Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, and he did not disappoint. Lacazette set up Aubameyang’s goal, giving Arsenal a lead for the second time in the game. He was there again when they needed him after Danny Ward got an equalizer for Cardiff City. Lacazette scored an 81st-minute winner and was superb for most of the game, winning most battles with Neil Warnock’s backline. He took three shots on target, made three key passes and won three aerial duels and was a constant threat to the hosts. His partnership with the Gabon striker was interesting to watch and Lacazette could be the player to watch out for in Game Week 5, after the international break.
