Liverpool managed a commendable 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the Wembley earlier today to bag their fifth win in the Premier League this season in as many games.
The Reds have started really well and are right behind Chelsea who lead the table on goal difference.
Goals from Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino handed a comfortable cushion to Jürgen Klopp’s men and Erik Lamela strike in the dying minutes of the game for Spurs went in vain.

The Reds were left a bit worried as Firmino was forced off the pitch after he was caught in the left eye by a stray finger from Jan Vertonghen.
Liverpool have revealed that the dazzling attacker visited a hospital for scans and the initial reports are positive.
The statement read: “Roberto Firmino was discharged from a London hospital this afternoon after receiving good news on the eye injury he sustained during Liverpool’s 2-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur.”
Examination in the hospital confirmed an abrasion of the eye and notably, Firmino has not been ruled out from Liverpool’s Champions League fixture against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
The news should come as a huge sigh of relief for his club as he is one of the key players for the side.
