According to former Arsenal forward Charlie Nicholas, Arsenal superstar Mesut Ozil could be sold in the January transfer window if the club receives an attractive offer. Nicholas believes that Ozil doesn’t really suit the style which Unai Emery advocates.
After losses against Manchester City and Chelsea in their first two games in the Premier League, Arsenal have responded strongly. The north London based outfit have garnered four wins out of four, with their latest outing ending in a 4-2 win over Vorskla in the Europa League group stage.
Despite facing immense criticism early in the season, Ozil has responded to the critics by scoring a goal in each of the last two games. However, Nicholas isn’t very optimistic of the 29-year-old’s future at the Emirates Stadium and feels his days at Arsenal are heavily numbered.
While speaking about Ozil’s situation under Emery, Nicholas said: “If this isn’t improved by January, and a decent offer comes in, Arsenal will let him go. It keeps coming up that Fenerbahce and these sort of clubs would be interested in looking at him.”
