As per one of the latest reports by Mirror, Divock Origi is on the verge of completing his loan move to Turkish outfit Fenerbahce. Both the clubs are close to finalising an agreement, although Turkish-Football have stated that La Liga giants Valencia are also keeping close tabs on Origi.
Origi had a mixed season on loan with Wolfsburg last term as he scored 6 goals in 31 Bundesliga outings. The Belgian international has one year left in his current contract with the Reds and therefore, Jurgen Klopp’s side were initially desirous to strike Origi off their books permanently for around £26m.
Shipping him out on loan might eventually lead to the attacker’s exit from the Anfield foar free next summer unless Liverpool make him sign on a contract extension. The transfer window for Premier League sides closed on 9th August and Fenerbahce certainly have the upper hand now.
Due to Financial Fair Play regulations, Fenerbahce have their hands tied and cannot offer anything close to £26m. Apparently, Phillip Cocu’s camp are prepared to wait until the closing stages of their summer transfer window, which is due to shut down at the end of this month, to secure a last-minute loan deal for the 23-year-old.
