Paul Pogba doesn’t share a healthy relationship with Manchester United’s manager Jose Mourinho, which is unknown to none, and this is not a good sign for the Premier League outfit. Questions have been raised time and again regarding the lack of camaraderie between them.
After Manchester United’s 2-1 opening day win over Leicester City where Pogba made a thumping mark, the French World Cup winner was asked if he was happy at the Old Trafford, to which he replied: “There are things, and there are things that I cannot say, otherwise I will get fined.”
ESPN pundit and former Arsenal striker Paul Mariner was asked who Ed Woodward should choose between Pogba and Mourinho. Mariner said: “I would choose the top man, I would choose Paul Pogba. He’s the heart and soul of that football team. What he did at the weekend was borderline remarkable.”
The 25-year-old midfielder gave his heart out on the pitch against the Foxes and also found the back of the net from the penalty spot. Manchester United are due to take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday in their next league fixture and they certainly need Pogba to keep firing to impose themselves as serious contenders for the Premier League silverware.
