Leeds United Transfer News: Bielsa Wants French Midfield Ace

As per one of the latest reports by Bristol Live, Leeds United are tracking Lille’s attacking midfielder Fares Bahlouli. Marcelo Bielsa is keen to lure him to the Elland Road on a season-long loan deal in order to beef up the quality of his side and mount a serious challenge for promotion to the Premier League.

Reportedly, Bahlouli is not in Christophe Galtier’s plans at the Ligue 1 side and a loan spell with the Championship outfit should be able to keep the developmental process of the 23-year-old is ascendency. Besides, he has previously worked under the tutelage of Bielsa at Lille.

The Frenchman has carved a rather underwhelming career so far to talk about. Having emerged through the youth ranks of Lyon, Bahlouli moved to Monaco in the summer of 2015 before switching to the ranks of Lille during the January transfer window of 2017. He is capable of operating as a central attacking midfielder as well as a winger.

Leeds United have made an excellent start to their Championship campaign and have won all of their three league games. However, there is a long way up ahead and no wonder why the Whites are interested to churn one or two more signings before the transfer window shuts down.
