As per one of the latest reports by Sky Sports, Everton want £28m plus add-ons from RB Leipzig for letting Ademola Lookman leave the Goodison Park this summer. Lookman was on the books of the German outfit during the second half of last season and impressed considerably.
In 7 starts and 4 substitute appearances in German Bundesliga, the winger smashed 5 goals and garnered 3 assists. The 20-year-old showcased immense confidence and calibre whenever he got opportunities and no wonder why Leipzig have been trying to sign him permanently.
He is one of the hottest properties in English football at the moment. In June, the Bulls saw their bid of £12m getting rejected by the Toffees for the England Under-21 international who earns £23,000-per-week at Everton. Earlier this summer, Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick said: “We want him back and he wants to come.”
After emerging through the youth ranks of Charlton Athletic, Lookman was signed by Everton in the January transfer window of 2017. Leipzig’s head of recruitment Paul Mitchell is also believed to be a long-term admirer of Lookman and it will be intriguing to see whether his potential move materializes before 31st August or not.
