According to Mirror, Crystal Palace have slapped a £60 million price tag on Wilfried Zaha. The former Manchester United starlet has attracted interest from a series of top clubs around Europe, the chief among which are Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.
The source believes that both the clubs are willing to offer one of their star players in an attempt to lower the fee. Tottenham, in particular, are seeking to lure Zaha to North-London this summer by reportedly offering fringe player Moussa Sissoko in a player plus cash deal.
Sissoko, 28, has been on the chopping block after failing to make an impact following his deadline day transfer from Newcastle back in 2016. Despite making as many as 58 league appearances during his two seasons at the club, the Frenchman featured in a combined total of just 2,296 minutes and is destined for a move away from North-London this summer.
While Sissoko will be good riddance for Spurs, he might turn out to be a very good addition for Crystal Palace. The 28-year-old has an ample amount of experience in top-flight football, which could be useful for Palace as they aim to make an impression in the Premier League next season.
Zaha, on the other hand, has already made a huge impression in the league over the past couple of years that has seen him become one of the most sought-after attackers in English football.
After initially rejoining the club from Manchester United in 2015, the winger has notched up 129 league appearances for the Eagles, netting 22 goals while providing 23 assists. Last season, in particular, Zaha was the only bright spark in an otherwise dire Palace attack as they finished 11th in the final league standings.
As for Tottenham, the addition of this highly talented attacker would be a massive boost. Even though the likes of Heung Min-Son, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli have done very well, the Lilywhites lack serious depth in the attacking department.
New signing Lucas Moura has failed to get his feet sorted in the English Premier League after joining the club earlier this year. The former PSG star has featured in just 11 games with his only goal coming in a disappointing draw against Rochdale in the FA Cup.
Therefore, Wilfried Zaha is definitely an appealing target for Spurs as he could provide them with the spark and the X-factor needed to finally win the Premier League trophy.
