However, the main FIFA event in Russia is expected to keep the fans excited and occupied before the start of the next season.

#3 Mohamed Salah (Egypt)
The saviour of the African country in the qualifiers, scoring a late, late penalty to take them to Europe, Salah has turned into a cult hero at Anfield.
His unfortunate injury in Kyiv seemed to have ruled him out of the competition but it is now being reported that he should be fit in time to face Uruguay in the first group game in the World Cup.
He was the top goal scorer in England and almost took Liverpool all the way in the Champions and will have to do something similar for his national side if they are to get past the group stages this year.
#2 Roberto Firmino (Brazil)
After playing the most productive season of his career, at Anfield recently, Firmino is one of the best options for Brazil to lead the line in Russia later this month.
The former Hoffenheim man will fight with Manchester City youngster Gabriel Jesus for a place in the first team. But the Liverpool no.9 offers slightly more than what Jesus does and could start as the first choice.
He can easily turn into a match winner, as was evident with his quality for Liverpool in England as well as in Europe.
#1 Sadio Mane (Senegal)
The former Southampton man was Liverpool’s best player in Kyiv and is a crucial part of the Senegal squad that qualified for the finals in Russia.
They are drawn in a relatively easy group against the likes of Colombia, Japan and Poland and have every chance to qualify for the next stage. But for that, the Liverpool man will have to reproduce his form from his days at Anfield.
He was one of the most productive wingers in Europe and will carry the weight of a lot of Senegal fans in this competition.
