Diabaté And Mahrez Out Wide: Predicted 4-4-2 Leicester City XI Vs Tottenham Hotspur

Leicester City will have very little to play for when they travel to Wembley to face Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, which will mark the end of this season’s Premier League.

Currently standing ninth in the league table, the Foxes have fared rather well under Claude Puel and will look to end their season on a positive note. They are also coming on the back of a stunning 3:1 win against Arsenal, which will definitely hand them the much-needed boost ahead of their highly awaited encounter tomorrow.

Tottenham, on the other hand, will also look to finish above this season’s Champions League finalists Liverpool, with a win against the former PL champions. The Lilywhites currently have 74 points on the board, leading fourth-placed Reds by two points. Therefore, a win this weekend could seal them a third-place finish in the Premier League.

Here’s the predicted Leicester City lineup to face Spurs this weekend.

Defence

Leicester City have been dealt with a massive injury crisis ahead of the clash with Spurs on Sunday.

First choice keeper Kasper Schmeichel is doubtful, meaning Eldin Jakupovic is expected to make his second Premier League appearance this season.

In the defensive backline, Claude Puel will be without the services of veteran Robert Huth as well as youngster Ben Chilwell. Therefore, Wes Morgan will be starting alongside Harry Maguire in central defence, with Aleksandar Dragovic being expected to be left on the bench.

Danny Simpson will start as the right-back while another veteran defender Christian Fuchs will replace the young Ben Chilwell in the left-back position.

Midfield

It will be interesting to see how Claude Puel manages to organize his midfield this weekend, following the absence of few of their star midfielders.

The highly-rated midfield trio of Wilfred Ndidi, Matty James and Daniel Amartey are expected to miss out on Sunday’s clash, which will likely pave the way for Adrien Silva and Hamza Choudhury to retain their place in the starting eleven. Both of these midfielders will play a key role as Leicester attempts to exploit the decimated Spurs side this weekend.

In the wider positions, Fousseni Diabate will replace Marc Albrighton, who is suspended for the clash while Riyad Mahrez will be deployed on the right side of the midfield.

Attack

Leicester’s attack, this weekend, will be led by their talismanic striker Jamie Vardy, who will partner former Man City starlet Kelechi Iheanacho.
