Manchester United are just a win away from winning the FA Cup this season but Jose Mourinho will want to fight for bigger trophies next season, which is reflective of his wish-list for the summer transfer window. There are a number of exciting stars that the Portuguese tactician has on his mind and one player exciting many fans is Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele.
Dembele Prefers Red And White:
According to several reports, the French wing wizard is unhappy with his current situation at Catalonia and could be heading towards the exit door at the end of the season. Barcelona are reportedly happy to sell him for around €100m and a number of clubs including PSG, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea are all interested in his signature.
However, Spanish news outfit Don Balon have today reported that the 20-year old prefers a move to Old Trafford and that he has long dreamt of playing for The Red Devils. He will be an expensive acquisition but should Mourinho go for it?
What Will Dembele Bring To England:
A gifted technician who is equally effective with both his feet, Dembele is a quick and smart footballer with loads of tricks and skills up his sleeve. He loves to have the ball at his feet and beats full-backs with far too much ease when in full flow. He can cross or can help in build-up play but is at his best when in possession of the ball in the final third.
He is nimble-footed and can get past a pack of defenders and is capable of providing breathtaking moments regularly. He can test the keeper from a long range and can unleash shots with both his feet. But he is also adept at creating chances for his side and at just 20, is destined to turn into one of the best in the game in the future.
He is a part of the French team travelling to Russia later this year and is sure to have an impact on the biggest event. He can walk into most squads in Europe and will be a huge coup for Manchester United.
Where Does He Fit In?
At the moment, United have a plethora of attacking talent, that seems to just get the job done when needed. But they need players who can help them get back to their best and Dembele is a good shout.
Reports claim that Anthony Martial is unhappy with his situation at the club and could leave this summer. If he leaves, Mourinho will probably have an upgrade in Dembele. The likes of Juan Mata and Alexis Sanchez can act as mentors while the likes of Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku and Jesse Lingard can all form the core of the side for years to come.
