However, his form in the Europa League was quite decent before Arsenal knocked Milan out of the competition in the Round of Sixteen tie, as he found the back of the net on 6 occasions in 10 outings.
Owing to the Portuguese connection of Espírito Santo, Wolves have been filling their ranks with top players from Portugal. The club’s relationship with Jorge Mendes has been vital in the process and in all fairness, Silva could be a formidable striker for them. However, it would not be easy for Wolves to sign the Portuguese international as the likes of Arsenal, Monaco and Valencia are also monitoring him very closely.
Silva a good option to have in the Premier League?
Though Silva hasn’t managed a lot of goals, he has been contributing well in terms of his passing. He averages nearly a key pass a game in the Serie A. His finishing hasn’t been up to the mark, but he hasn’t had that many chances to be fair. He takes an average 1.5 shots per game in the Serie A and considering he has started just five times, perhaps he needs a manager who will place a bit more faith on him.
The former Porto striker lacks the experience of English football but owing to the open nature of the league when compared to the Serie A, he might score more often. The 22-year-old is still in his learning years and given his age, he certainly has the scope to develop further in the coming seasons.
Wolves would certainly need players with the cutting-edge next season if they manage to get themselves into the Premier League and signing Silva could be a massive statement of intent.
