Slaven Bilic is facing a tough time ahead as his team has failed to gain momentum in the current Premier League season. After just a solitary win against Huddersfield Town and a goalless draw against West Brom, Bilic’s side has won just four points from their five games. These results come after a rather promising transfer window in which they boosted their attack by luring the likes of Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic.
Marko looked on fire in the Carabao Cup match against Bolton. However, Bilic is likely to make a number of changes to the starting eleven against the Spurs and would hope to bring in some respite.
Predicted Formation: 4-2-3-1
GK: Joe Hart
The England No.1 has been in fine form for the Hammers. He has made some decent contributions and since his forgettable debut against United, he has looked capable of a consistent place in the starting eleven.
RB: Pablo Zabaleta
The Argentine has played in an advanced position a couple of times this season. However, Spurs’ attacking lineup will force Bilic to make him sit back and play in a traditional right-back role.
CB: Winston Reid
Reid is West Ham’s best choice to play as a centre-half. He is good on the ball and makes regular clearances and blocks.

Masuaku’s stunning display against Bolton in the midweek match raises the opinion that he should start ahead of Cresswell against Tottenham. He is an absolute threat going forward and always looks to create chances. His introduction might stop Spurs’ attack through the flanks.
CDM: Mark Noble
The captain brings in a sense of composure and calmness into the midfield. He is great at breaking up attacks and can be a delight when he gets into rhythm.
CDM: Pedro Obiang
The Spaniard is an important player regarding the defensive aspect of the game for the Hammers. He shields the defence well and blocks any kind of attack at the centre of the park.
AM(L)- Marko Arnautovic
The former Stoke City man was in scintillating form against Bolton in the League Cup match. He offers urgency in attack and is a threat from set pieces. The Austrian takes the attack to the opposition with his clever runs and powerful long shots.
CAM- Andre Ayew
The Ghanaian has had a tough start to the season but Bilic might prefer him to start against the Spurs. He needs to improve his defensive contribution to retain his place in the team.
AM(R)- Antonio
The Englishman never seems to have a bad day. His all-round abilities will be required and are sure to come in handy.
ST: Javier Hernandez
Hernandez faces a challenge from Andy Carroll for the main striker’s position. His composure inside the box combined with the knack of scoring important goals might give him an edge.
