The player had recently signed a five-year contract with AS Monaco in 2016 which should see him at the Stade Louis II till 2021. That has led to the Ligue champions to put a price tag of £40m on their young starlet.

What’ll he offer the Club?
Other than the likes of Herrera, very few have managed to exude the role of a defensive midfielder properly this past season at United which has caused them a lot of problems defensively as well as going forward.
Fabinho addition will provide sound cover to the defence and could also unlock Pogba’s better self as he will have the license to bombard forward knowing there is someone as reliable as Fabinho behind.
The versatility of the player to switch and play as a full-back will be an added bonus as Valencia isn’t getting younger.
Worth the money?
The impeccable resume that the Brazilian has is nothing short of surreal. Seeing the recent transfer trends, it is safe to say that the £40m price tag is justifiable and Mourinho should waste no time in wrapping up the business.
