Although the transfer window for the Premier League sides closed on 9th August, the European transfer window is not closing until the end of this month. After Thibaut Courtois’ exit from the Stamford Bridge, Chelsea were able to rope in Kepa Arrizabalaga from for £71.6m.

However, with the transfer window already shut for them, the Blues are still perceived to be in the danger of losing Eden Hazard. Hazard has been getting heavily linked with Real Madrid, but Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri believes that the Belgium international with stay at Stamford Bridge this season.

While speaking to Sky Sports prior to his side’s clash against the Magpies, Sarri said: “Eden is ready for 50-60 minutes. I don’t know for 90 minutes, but he can start. I am happy with him. He wants to play. I think Eden will stay with us for all of the season.” Chelsea fans will breathe a huge sigh of relief after their manager’s positivism regarding Hazard’s existence in their ranks.
