Time For Trophies: Tottenham Attacking Ace Warns His Teammates

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has fired warning shots at his teammates and has told them that the club must start winning trophies. Spurs have not picked up any silverware since their League Cup win in 2008 and it is undoubtedly about time for them to start bagging the major honours.

The English international, after his side’s commendable 3-1 win over Fulham at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday, said: “We’re a team that has made huge strides in a short amount of time and it’s about continuing that. The only way to do that is to start winning things. We’re not young anymore. We want to win everything.”

Under the tutelage of an inspiring manager in Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs have been an intriguing unit to watch. A lot of stability has been cultivated and the Argentine has improved them considerably. The North London based outfit were League Cup finalists in 2015 but lost to Chelsea as the Blues carved a commendable 2-0 win over them.

During the 2016-17 campaign, Spurs were Premier League runners-up and last term, they bagged the third spot in the league table. They have built a strong foundation for this season, with wins over Newcastle United and Fulham in their first two league fixtures, and need to carry on with the same momentum to challenge for major titles.
