Four Changes Likely: 4-2-3-1 Man United Predicted XI vs Barcelona| Europa League

Manchester United will renew proceedings with Barcelona in the second leg of their Europa League tie with all to play for post their 2-2 draw in the first leg.

The two away goals at Camp Nou will count for nothing extra though, with the away-goal rule abolished by UEFA since last campaign.

But the Red Devils will indeed look to capitalise on their home-advantage with Erik Ten Hag’s men last losing at Old Trafford way back in early September in a 0-1 loss to Real Sociedad.

So, despite Barcelona’s stellar form in La Liga, United do enter the fixture as slight favourites.

MANCHESTER UNITED TEAM NEWS

Manchester United will welcome back Harry Maguire and Antony into the squad.

Anthony Martial, though, remains out having failed to recover from a hip problem.

Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek are long-term absentees.

PREDICTED MAN UNITED LINEUP vs BARCELONA (4-2-3-1)

DEFENCE

David de Gea has been sensational this season, which has been an added boost for the previously beleaguered side.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is enjoying a revival in fortunes at the club, something which seemed improbable during the first half of the season. He will start as the right-back in the Man United lineup.

Raphael Varane is a shoo-in as one of the central defenders. Lisandro Martinez is free from the suspension which ruled him out of the first leg, which means that Harry Maguire will sit this one out despite recovering in time.

Martinez’s availability means that Luke Shaw will move back to his preferred left-back spot in the Man United lineup.

MIDFIELD

Brazilian duo Casemiro and Fred are the leading candidates to team up in the centre of the pitch once again.

They have complemented each other well and Casemiro will also be eager to return to action having served his domestic suspension over the last three United fixtures.

ATTACK

Jadon Sancho came off the bench to score against Leicester City and he is expected to start on the left in the Man United lineup.

Bruno Fernandes’ delivery and space utilisation from the right could see him being shifted onto the right attacking midfield.

Wout Weghorst could be positioned in a slightly deeper role, playing off of Marcus Rashford who will start as the striker in the Man United lineup.

Weghorst will be deployed to press the Barcelona defence and outmuscle the opponents to try and create space for the other technically sound attackers to hurt Barcelona in the final third.
