Crystal Palace will be looking to register back-to-back wins in the Premier League when they travel to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City on Saturday.
The Foxes have not enjoyed a great start to the new season, winning just two of their eight games so far. Patrick Vieira’s side ended a four-game winless run last weekend when they beat Leeds United 2-1 at Selhurst Park.
Vieira will want his side to build on that win and get all three points against Leicester City, who are reeling at the bottom of the table with just four points from nine games.
Crystal Palace Team News
Nathaniel Clyne (ankle) and James McArthur (groin) remain out for the Eagles.
Nathan Ferguson (foot) and Jack Butland (hand) might be lacking in match fitness while Will Hughes will miss out due to illness.
Predicted Crystal Palace Lineup vs Leicester City (4-3-3)
Goalkeeper
Vicente Guaita will continue to operate between the sticks for the Eagles. The Spaniard should be at his best to keep a clean sheet away at Leicester City.
Defence
Joachim Andersen will once again form the centre-half partnership alongside Marc Guehi at the heart of the backline in the Crystal Palace lineup as they look to stop the Foxes from scoring.
Joel Ward should continue at right-back in the Crystal Palace lineup while a solid display from Jeffrey Schlupp at left-back against Leeds United last weekend should earn him another start in that position, thus, keeping Tyrick Mitchell on the bench.
James Tomkins and Jairo Riedewald will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Cheick Doucoure, Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are likely to feature in midfield in the Crystal Palace lineup as they focus on winning the battles at the centre of the park and create some clear-cut chances going forward.
With Doucoure holding the fort in midfield, the responsibility of chance-creation will fall on the shoulders of Eze and Olise. Energetic, inventive and dynamic, the two youngsters would be expected to make a difference for the visitors at the weekend.
Attack
Palace’s best player, Wilfried Zaha will be the biggest threat going forward. A player with a bagful of tricks, he should be licking his lips at the prospect of facing an out-of-sorts Leicester side.
Odsonne Edouard will once again lead the Crystal Palace lineup from the front. The Frenchman would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet and help his team secure the win. Off the right, Vieira is likely to stick with Jordan Ayew.
Jean-Philippe Mateta will again have to settle for a spot on the bench. He could come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Palace are in need of a goal by then.
