Lucas Moura to Start: Team News, Predicted Tottenham Hotspur Lineup vs Leeds United

Tottenham Hotspur travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United on Saturday, as Antonio Conte looks to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League.

Spurs ended a three-game losing run in the Premier League with a shock 3-2 win over league leaders and champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. However, they fell to a 1-0 defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor on Wednesday evening, which left the eight-placed Lilywhites seven points off the Champions League spots.

So, Antonio Conte will be desperate to get all three points against Leeds United, who head into the weekend fixture off the back of a demoralising 6-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

Tottenham Team News

Tottenham have been handed a fresh injury blow in the form of Rodrigo Bentancur ahead of their trip to Leeds United. The Uruguayan midfielder was taken off at half-time after an awkward slip in the first half of the game against Burnley on Wednesday, making his availability a big doubt on Saturday, along with Pierluigi Gollini due to illness.

Meanwhile, Oliver Skipp (groin) and Japhet Tanganga (knee) face a race against time to recover from their injuries before the upcoming league fixture.

Predicted Tottenham Lineup vs Leeds United (3-4-3)

Goalkeeper

Hugo Lloris is a certainty to start in Tottenham goal at Elland Road. The French shot-stopper would need to be at the top of his game to keep a clean sheet against Leeds United.

Defence

Antonio Conte will stick with the three-man backline featuring Eric Dier, Cristian Romero and Ben Davies. The Spurs backline endured a tough time against Burnley duo Wout Weghorst and Jay Rodriguez, so Conte will expect them to put in a better display and keep things tight in Yorkshire.

Midfield

Rodrigo Bentancur’s injury doubt should give Harry Winks an opportunity to impress in midfield alongside Pierre-Emile Højbjerg. The midfield duo of Winks and Højbjerg must give it their all to help Spurs earn a positive result against a high-pressing Leeds side.

Predicted Tottenham Hotspur Lineup vs Leeds United

Sergio Reguilon could displace Ryan Sessegnon at left wing-back, with Emerson Royal retaining his position on the other side. Reguilon and Emerson will be expected to stretch the Leeds backline with their overlapping runs, whilst helping the team defensively when required.

Attack

Conte may look to freshen things up in attack following a quick turnaround in the Premier League. Lucas Moura could come into the Tottenham Hotspur Lineup at the expense of Dejan Kulusevski, joining the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min up front.

In Kane, Son and Moura, Spurs would have plenty of pace, power and creativity to wreak havoc against a deflated Leeds side.
