Tottenham Hotspur will travel to St Mary’s Stadium to face Southampton on Tuesday afternoon as Antonio Conte looks to stretch his team’s unbeaten run to seven Premier League outings.
The north Londoners enjoyed a comprehensive 3-0 Boxing Day victory over 10-man London rivals Crystal Palace that helped them surge to fifth on the table.
Antonio Conte’s men have won four out of their last five games but will face a charged-up Southampton side that won 3-2 at West Ham United on Sunday.
Tottenham Team News
Tottenham continue to remain without the injured duo of Cristian Romero and Ryan Sessegnon. Dane Scarlett tested positive for Covid-19 last week and is likely to miss out Tuesday’s game as well.
Five of our best against the Saints! 🙌

Predicted Tottenham Lineup vs Southampton (3-4-2-1)
Goalkeeper
Hugo Lloris kept a clean sheet in the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday. The French stopper will be aiming to shut the shop as quickly as possible against Southampton.
Defence
Following a quick turnaround, Antonio Conte is set to ring changes to his side. Davinson Sanchez could make way for Joe Rodon at the back in the Tottenham lineup.
Rodon has been patiently waiting for his chances this season and Tuesday could be the day when he gets one. Eric Dier and Japhet Tanganga will retain their positions in defence from the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Midfield
Matt Doherty and Ben Davies could be given opportunities to impress at wing-back positions at Southampton. Doherty and Davies, who might come in for Emerson and Reguilon, will provide width to the Spurs attack.
Oliver Skipp completed the full game against Crystal Palace, so the youngster could make way for Tanguy Ndombele in central midfield. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was taken off on Sunday with ten minutes to spare with the view of keeping him fresh and ready to face the Saints in midweek.
Attack
Lucas Moura had a good outing against Crystal Palace, scoring the second goal for Spurs with a powerful header. But having played the full game on Boxing Day, Conte could rest the diminutive Brazilian and start Dele Alli instead at St Mary’s Stadium. Alli was an unused substitute in the fixture against Palace, meaning he will be fresh and full of energy to go on Tuesday.
Goals have started flowing by again for Harry Kane and Son Heung-min in recent weeks, which is a great sign for Conte’s side. The Italian tactician is unlikely to break their momentum and will start both Kane and Son in the Spurs attack to beat Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton side.
