Partey & Ceballos In Central Midfield: 3-4-3 Arsenal Predicted Lineup vs Manchester United

Arsenal travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United today.

The Gunners have not been in good form in the league, having lost their last two games against Manchester City and Leicester City. The north London side haven’t won at Old Trafford in the league since 2006, which will be a worrying statistic for manager Mikel Arteta.

But, the Gunners won the last encounter between the two sides which came on January 1, 2020, at the Emirates. They will hope to get their Premier League campaign back on track with an important win against an in-form United side.

Predicted Arsenal lineup for the game against Manchester United (3-4-3)

Team News

Defenders Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari, and Rob Holding will all miss the game, while experienced centre-back David Luiz is a major doubt.

Youngster Gabriel Martinelli will also not play in Sunday’s game against Manchester United.

Goalkeeper

Bernd Leno should continue as the goalkeeper in the Arsenal lineup against Manchester United.

Defence

Summer signing Gabriel has been a permanent fixture in this Arsenal side and he should continue at the back. If David Luiz is not fit, Shkodran Mustafi should keep his place in the side. Mustafi had replaced Luiz in last week’s game against Leicester City, while also playing in the Europa League on Thursday.

Granit Xhaka has been used at the back in recent games and he may well continue there considering the lack of options that Arteta has in defence. Sead Kolasinac is another option at the back, but he has played just one Premier League game this season.

Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin should play in the wing-back positions in the Arsenal lineup.

Midfield

Thomas Partey and Dani Ceballos did not start in the mid-week Europa League game, which hints at them starting against Manchester United in the Arsenal lineup. This is a combination that the fans are excited to see regularly and them clicking will be a huge boost for Arteta.

Joe Willock, who put in a solid performance on Thursday, is another option.

Attack

Willian made a return to the Arsenal squad in the mid-week game following his injury and played 30 minutes. He could play on the right, with Bukayo Saka playing on the opposite side in the Arsenal lineup.

Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may play through the middle to drive at the vulnerable United defence.

Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette are other options for Arteta in attack.
