More Tinkering Expected: 4-3-3 Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Premier League champions Liverpool face Brighton at the Amex Stadium tonight, following their somewhat laboured 2-0 win over Aston Villa. Jurgen Klopp’s side will want to set new records, one of which will be to breach the 100-point barrier and set a new record for most points in a season.

The last time these two sides met, Liverpool were given an almighty scare as the Reds went down to 10 men following the dismissal of goalkeeper Alisson, as well as a late goal by Brighton. But Jurgen Klopp’s side saw out the game, with the match finishing 2-1 in the Merseyside team’s favour.

Let’s take a look at how Liverpool could turn out against Brighton.

Team News

Joel Matip will miss the game through injury, while the likes of Dejan Lovren, Andrew Robertson and James Milner are all doubts for this mid-week game. Klopp rotated his side last time around in the win against Aston Villa, and he could do so once again against Brighton.

PREDICTED LIVERPOOL LINEUP vs BRIGHTON (4-3-3)

Goalkeeper

Liverpool’s No. 1 Alisson, should start against Brighton and will hope that he ends the game on the pitch, unlike the last time against The Seagulls.

Defence

The centre-back duo of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez should be retained for the game against Brighton.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will also most likely retain his place at right-back in the Liverpool lineup. Klopp could maybe rest Robertson, who was poor against Manchester City and also sustained an injury last time around.

Neco Williams came on for the Scotsman last time around and he could start at left-back for Liverpool.

Midfield

Klopp could shuffle his midfield around for the game against Brighton.

Captain Jordan Henderson was a second-half substitute last time around but could start against Brighton, in place of Fabinho, who is also an option at centre-back alongside Virgil van Dijk.

Naby Keita could retain his place while Georginio Wijnaldum could come into the Liverpool lineup for this game.

Attack

Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah played the entire game last time around, but one of the two could be given a rest against Brighton.

Mane could be replaced by Takumi Minamino, while Roberto Firmino could come back into the Liverpool lineup. Salah could retain his spot over on the right side, but there’s a possibility of Mane starting there as well.
