Bundesliga midfield ace Kai Havertz is reportedly interested in a move to the Premier League, and Manchester United could be his potential destination.
Havertz has been nothing short of sensational for Bayer Leverkusen this season, and he is open to a move to Manchester United, who are among several clubs interested in his signature, as per MEN Sport.
The young German has taken the Bundesliga by storm (once again) after the global pandemic hiatus. Though Havertz is pretty comfortable and happy with life at Leverkusen, he remains interested in a big move to the Premier League.
The 20-year-old would not be wrong to expect some big clubs lining up for him this summer, but the midfielder is likely to opt for the club that can offer him more playing time, considering the Euros will be held next year.
Kai Havertz to Manchester United – Right fit for the club?
Kai Havertz without a question would be a good fit for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United at the moment. He has age on his side which is always an advantage to go with, and has shown that he is a once in a generation talent.
Since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, United have struggled to keep pace with the big names in the Premier League. Solskjaer, since coming in, has been managed to bring in some consistency, though they still have a long way to go.
With the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial on top, United just need good ball-playing midfielders who could bring the best out of the strikers. There are big names like Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes, but signing Havertz would allow Pogba to play in a deeper role and dominate the tempo of games.
Havertz and Bruno in attacking midfield with Pogba just behind them would make United a highly creative outfit from its core.
The pair of Havertz and Bruno look all the more promising because of their young age, which makes it safe for us to mark them as long term options for the club.
Havertz is a goal-scoring midfield, having already scored 11 times in 26 matches for Leverkusen this season. So with the likes of Rashford, Martial, Bruno, Havertz, and Pogba, United would finally have a midfield and attack with guaranteed goals.
With the defence pretty much sorted, signing Havertz would go a long way in making United a competent side who can potentially challenge the top three.
