Attacking Ace Reportedly Open To Tottenham Move: What Will He Add To The Team?

Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly sign Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser in the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old is keen on joining Jose Mourinho’s team when the transfer window opens.

As per an exclusive by Football Insider, several Premier League sides are interested in signing the Scotsman, whose contract expires in the summer.

The report further states that Fraser wants to play for a club in the Champions League and a move to the north London club “would interest him”.

Fraser has been with the Cherries since 2013, having joined from Scottish side, Aberdeen. He has been with the club since their League One days, helping them climb the English football league ladder to reach the Premier League.

He has made over 200 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 24 goals and 33 assists. Last season, he scored 7 goals and completed 14 assists in 38 games for Bournemouth in the league.

What will Ryan Fraser add to Tottenham Hotspur?

Fraser is a winger who primarily plays from the left, cutting into central areas, and making clever passes to his teammates. The Scotsman is a good crosser and passer, and has very good close control, shielding the ball away from opposition defenders.

He could be a good addition to several teams in the top 10 of the Premier League, as he has vast experience of playing in the Premier League, and is just 26, with several good years ahead of him.

Mourinho signed Dutch winger Steven Bergwijn in January, who has had a bright start to his Spurs career, while Son Heung-min has been consistently good from the left.

The north London side have two solid options with Bergwijn and Son, but another wide player would strengthen that area of the pitch. Son and Bergwijn could also be used upfront if Harry Kane is injured or rested.

Fraser is a hard-working player and is the kind of professional that Mourinho would love to have in his squad. The Bournemouth winger will be available on a free transfer in the summer, which would make this deal even more tempting for Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy.

Mourinho should sign Fraser as the deal has little or no risk involved, and in the current transfer market, the addition of an experienced pro like Fraser would be a bonus.
